- Triple-Receptor Agonist: Engineered to target GLP-1, GIP, and Glucagon receptors simultaneously.
- Substantial Weight Management: Heavily researched for profound body weight reduction capabilities.
- Metabolic Regulation: Studied for its role in supporting lipid metabolism and glucose homeostasis.
- Liver Health: Showing potential in research models for significantly reducing hepatic steatosis (liver fat).
Phase 2 Trial Schedule (1 mL = 10 mg/mL)
Frequency: Once weekly by subcutaneous administration.
| Study Phase | Weekly Dose | U-100 Units | Volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1 to 4 | 2 mg | 20 units | 0.2 mL |
| Weeks 5 to 8 | 4 mg | 40 units | 0.4 mL |
| Weeks 9 to 12 | 8 mg | 80 units | 0.8 mL |
| Weeks 13+ | 12 mg | 120 units | 1.2 mL |
This table shows the lower-start 12 mg arm from the 48-week phase 2 obesity trial. The study also evaluated separate 1 mg, 4 mg, and 8 mg target arms.[1] Rows above 100 units exceed the capacity of one 1 mL syringe, so the supply calculation counts the required number of syringes.
- Mild flushing or warmth after administration.
- Mild redness at the injection site.
- Temporary fatigue, vivid dreams, or sleep changes.
- Slight water retention.

Research overview: GLP-3 (RT)
Retatrutide, also called LY3437943, is one engineered peptide that can signal through three receptor pathways. Its design is different from a blend of separate peptides.
Studies measure receptor activity, glucose-related signals, fat-tissue endpoints, and liver models. These controlled findings do not promise a result for the supplied material.
Triple-receptor pharmacology
Studies measure activity at GIP, GLP-1, and glucagon receptors. They also examine sequence design and albumin binding. The three pathways are not interchangeable. Comparisons must use the exact assay and activity values from the original study.
Metabolic and liver models
Published work also covers glucose, lipid, energy-balance, and liver-related measurements. These findings do not replace lot-specific analytical testing.

Peptides in transport
Peptides in lyophilized form are supplied in glass vials by standard shipping methods and do not require refrigeration. Short-term temperature fluctuations during transport will not reduce their quality and efficacy. Even at high summer temperatures, the peptides in lyophilized form are stable for several weeks.
Storage of lyophilized peptides
Lyophilized peptides should be stored in a dry place, protected from light and moisture. The following storage conditions are generally recommended:
- Room temperature (15–25 °C): Up to 3 months
- Refrigerated (2–8 °C): Up to 6 months
- Frozen (-20 °C or below): 3–5 years (recommended for long-term storage)
Allow the vial to reach room temperature after taking it out of the refrigerator or freezer.
Storage of reconstituted peptides
Once reconstituted, peptide solutions are generally less stable than their lyophilized form and should be stored under refrigerated conditions whenever possible. The following storage conditions are generally recommended:
- Room temperature (15–25 °C): Avoid prolonged storage
- Refrigerated (2–8 °C): Typically 4–8 weeks
- Frozen (-20 °C or below): Up to 3–4 months
To preserve peptide integrity, avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles, as these may accelerate peptide degradation.
Important:
Most manufacturers recommend discarding reconstituted peptides within 4 weeks when stored at 2–8 °C. This recommendation is intentionally conservative and may not reflect the actual chemical stability of every peptide. In our own stability studies, many peptides reconstituted in bacteriostatic water showed no detectable degradation after 12 weeks of refrigerated storage. As peptide stability is highly sequence- and formulation-dependent, this result should not be extrapolated to all peptides without supporting stability data.
